THE RESPAWN EDIT / SEVEN-DAY WORKSHEET Issue 002 · 2026-09-22 The seven-day clarity challenge. Make one useful demonstration easier to follow. This is a new assignment, not last week’s three-post series: one piece, one clarity problem, one deliberate revision. Use the worksheet to keep the experiment small enough to finish. 1. Days 1–2 / Pick the moment people could miss. Choose a task you can explain honestly: arranging a filming corner, packing a gym bag or choosing a game-night outfit. Write the intended viewer and the one thing they should understand. Outline a beginning, one important action and a visible result. Mark the exact moment that needs a close-up or a slower explanation. My plan: _____________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ 2. Days 3–5 / Make the explanation visible. Record a short first cut with your existing phone and equipment. Watch it once without sound. Add captions where meaning disappears, and replace one unclear shot with a closer view. If a willing friend reviews it, ask them to describe the action back to you. Record the confusion, not a flattering rating. Label outside feedback separately from your own observations. My plan: _____________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ 3. Days 6–7 / Publish once, then write the lesson. Share the revised piece wherever you normally publish, or keep it as a clearly labeled portfolio sample. Note what changed, how long the revision took and any actual questions received. If nobody responds, write ‘no responses yet’ and assess the explanation yourself. Choose one improvement for your next piece; don’t declare an audience-growth breakthrough from one post. My plan: _____________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ AFTER SEVEN DAYS What I made: _________________________________________________ Thoughtful replies: ____ Link clicks (if measured): __________ New signups (if measured): ____ What I learned: _______________ One thing to keep: __________ One thing to change: ____________ No audience or income outcome is promised.
